August 31, 2012: Last Buwan ng Wika Culminating Activity
I missed the salo-salo but tried helping make the board. It’s the last and we didn’t even get to be there the whole day. Q_Q
Anyway, we went to the Rizal High School early in the morning for the DSSPC Photojourn and sports writing contest. It was a horrible morning but I don’t wanna elaborate. My photos were crappy and I just like the colors, but hell with it.. I’ll just try harder with the captions.
We got back in time for the interbatch song competition. IV-6 was indeed awesome, no doubts about it.

Though, we missed the declamation and the solo singing competition. :( But I know you guys were awesome anyway, so congratulations :)
I now realize how awesome it feels to have our own lobby and building.
Our batch’s players gathered during lunch and started practicing for the different games. I’m actually loving the batch spirit. Haha.

I’m beginning to love my batch too.

Everyone was so supportive and brought or bought red cloth to wear.
The culminating activity was held in the complex. It’s a first. Usually, it’s done in the tent with all that heat from the afternoon sun melting us down, plus the super limited space available.
The first game was new too. It was the food relay. It was unexpectedly fun to watch. =)))) Players brought water with them to their chairs.

See that =)))

Our batch one. This is our last player, Richie, who the game. She was jumping on the stage when the group finished all the food.

The next was namamalengke si Maria. it wasn’t as fun as last year’s. It got really complicated and the game required thinking. Oh god. I only enjoyed taking their photos since our teacher allowed us near the play field.

The pandango (sa manila paper) was gone but the limbo rock was still there. Our super flexible players started back-bending and all before the game and our batchmates just kept cheering on.

We had the agawan ng panyo last. It was quite disappointing since it was never finished. Grade 8 won and I wanted to see them play against the seniors… Joke. -__- But anyway, the grade 8 vs. 1st year vs. 2nd year turned out more violent than our match. They accidentally hit sir Red, the one holding the hankerchief and he fell from the chair he stood on.

The one with the red bandana’s one of my bestfriends, Jud. I always love dwatching her play. ^___^

This is the last, I can’t tell if it was the best. There’re a lot of things that stops me from saying it’s the best but.. maybe more of okay?
I’m starting to love my batchmates a lot. D: Maybe this is the feeling of being a senior and the sinking in of separation anxiety. Joke. I wouldn’t know. I’m pretty excited for the next interbatch activities. :)
It’s my first time to freely document an event and it’s my last year. Thank God for giving me this chance haha.
Proud senior13 :)
Oh and let me add that seeing Meah after a long time made me feel good <3 Haha I missed you!!
Hello again, Tumblr! I’ve been gone for a week because I attended a Journalism Convention.. thing in our school, St. Paul College, Pasig, the Paulink.
I sort of died. I’m a photographer but they made me join cartooning and layouting. Honestly speaking, I didn’t know how to do those. o__o
But anyway, here are the shots I entered for the photojourn/photography contest! :) They’re edited versions already, since I enhanced the colors a bit. It’s my first time to join a contest and I’m so happy these got me a high distinction award. :D Thanks so much to Bianca Catbagan, (a former Paulinian and now a film maker) for choosing my entry. :(
Though, I don’t know.. now that I stare at these, I feel that these lack so much essence and story. But putting those aside, I’m so grateful. :D
